Video Poker is a popular game that can be bet on in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through an Internet connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to get the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player inserts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards he or she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be dealt. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.

Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are able to pick the most money-making game each instance.

Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the enthusiast an opportunity to double their wins, in which case a further hand is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
